British envoy fears tension in Zambia might be worse in 2021.

The British Government says Zambia needs reforms in its electoral system and police service before the 2021 general elections.

In an exclusive interview with Mano News today, British High Commissioner to Zambia, Fergus Cochrane-Dyet, notes that if reforms do not happen very soon, the country will experience life-threatening political tension in 2021 than was case in 2016.

Ambassador Cochrane-Dyet stresses that to attain these reforms, political leaders especially front runners should start talking to each other.

His Excellence Fergus Cochrane-Dyet was in Northern Province to check on British aid programmes and explore investment opportunities.

He also took time to visit Radio Mano Community Station and featured on a special live programme.
