Chipolopolo captain Ziyo Tembo says Zambia will not underrate the brave warriors of Namibia in today’s final Group B African Nations Championship (CHAN) tie.

And assistant coach Aggrey Chiyangi says Zambia is focussed on going all the way in the tournament.

During a pre-match press conference, Tembo said Nambia was a good side as demonstrated by their two victories at the tournament to be in the joint top position with Zambia.

“We are not going to underrate them, winning two games in a tournament is not easy. We just have to believe in our abilities and go there with the right attitude and come up with the result,” Tembo said.

Meanwhile, Chiyangi sent the benchmark for the team in the clash against Namibia.

“Our aim is to go beyond the quarterfinals, so far we are very grateful to the team for what they have done and we are just looking forward to the quarterfinals so that we can proceed to the next round,” he said.
“We know that our players have done very well, but we are not underrating any team. We just want to have the same right attitude in our players and seriousness all the way up to the finals.”

Chiyangi expressed satisfaction with the level of organization of the tournament by the host nation Morocco.
“We are very happy with everything, the organization is excellent and even the pitches where we have been are excellent,” he said.

Zambia and Namibia take to the pitch at 21:00 hours (Zambian time) with the game live on SuperSport.

Both sides have already qualified to the quarterfinals but will be fighting for the top position to determine who faces either hosts Morocco or Sudan.
