The Patriotic Front launched its Manifesto and it’s new Chitenge material to a record crowd of an estimated 120,000 and held Zambia’s first true Mega Rally.

The new National Heroes Stadium with capacity of 60,000 was filled quickly by its supporters around 11hrs and overflowed with all the stands, pitch and outside full rising to an estimated crowd of 120,000.

When President Edgar Lungu arrived at 1430 the supporters who filled the stadium beyond its designed capacity went into a welcoming frenzy and cheers.
President Edgar Lungu promised to build on the infrastructure program foundation by creating jobs and food security in his next 5 years.
The Mega Rally sent many political speculators and pundits into fear that Lungu would be embarrassed by a poor turn-out as his party could not pull such crowds.
But the turn out shamed the critics and immediately catapulted Lungu into a clear front runner…
