The Botswana immigration authorities have raised concern over the unclaimed body of a Zambian woman who died in that country last year.
The body of Idah Zulu aged 40, who died in Botswana in 2015, has not been claimed by relatives.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Public Relations Officer Dorcas Chileshe said the late Ms. Zulu died on November 9, 2015 in Molepolole prison where she was detained for living there illegally.
Mrs. Chileshe said in a press statement to ZANIS in Lusaka today that Zambia’s High Commissioner to Botswana Patrick Tembo disclosed that authorities in that country were beginning to be concerned over the unclaimed body.
She has since called on the relatives to late Ms. Zulu to contact the Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the telephone number 253508.
