The opposition FDD says it is out of question for its President Edith Nawakwi to resign over a demand made by a junior party member.
FDD Copperbelt Coordinator N’shingebuka Shamenda has issued a press statement demanding that Ms Nawakwi steps down as FDD President within 14 days.
But FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza says Mr. Shamenda is just masquerading as an FDD Coordinator and that he does not represent the party in anyway.
Mr. Mwanza has emphasized that there is no such position as Coordinator in the hierarchy or Constitution of the FDD saying Mr. Shamenda’s claim that he is FDD Copperbelt coordinator is not only null and void but illegal.

He says Mr. Shamenda is an imposter who deserves to be behind bars.
He has clarified that the only connection between Mr. Shamenda and FDD is that he once volunteered to work as an Office Orderly at the party Copperbelt Secretariat in Ndola and that his duties were among others to act as a mail runner and to sell FDD membership cards.
He has also disclosed that three months ago the party wrote Mr. Shamenda, requesting him to account for the money realized from the sell of Party cards saying after failing to account for the money the party chased him from the Secretariat where he was keeping up and now he is stranded.
The FDD Spokesperson has told QFM News in a statement that the country is plunged in a deep economic crisis therefore the party will not worst time on empty chatter coming from Labour Minister Fackson Shamenda’s nephew.
