Zambia’s inflation quickened to 7.7 percent year-on-year in September from 7.3 percent in August, the Central Statistical Office (CSO) said on Thursday.

“The increase was mainly attributed to increase in the prices of both food and non-food items,” the statistics agency said.

Monthly inflation slowed to 0.7 percent in September from 0.9 percent in August, the agency said.
