Post Newspapers Editor Fred M’membe has opted to pay his exiting workers their separation packages in instalments following his poor pay culture.

M’membe, who owes his employees five months salary arrears, has made it even harder for those that are leaving the institution by not paying them their separation package.
With workers finding it hard to survive even the exit option has been made harder by not paying them separation packages.
Former employees who have left have to receive their separation packages monthly at their salary rate until the figure is exhausted.

“Unfortunately even the monthly instalment does not come as everyone is aware that people there don’t get paid,” said the source.
“At least every week we have an employee resigning. the only lucky ones are those that go to institutions where they have gotten a job.”

M’membe is spending most of his time, resources and energies galvanizing the Rainbow Party with the view of forming a coalition with the Hakainde Hichilema’s UPND to win next year’s election and restore financial stability that has been crippled. Business ties with the PF were severed after the death of President Michael Sata who was to a large extent held hostage by the infamous cartel.
