THIEVES on Monday night broke into Ipusukilo Primary School in Kitwe and stole 54 newly- installed computers.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa and Kitwe district education board secretary Kezala Mwale confirmed this in separate interviews in Kitwe yesterday.
Ms Kasosa said the suspects tied the security guard at the premises before stealing the computers.

“I can confirm that we recorded a case of theft at Ipusukilo Primary School in Kitwe where thieves stole computers but no arrests have been made so far,” Ms Kasosa said.
She said police have instituted investigations into the matter.
And Mr Mwale said he had received a report of theft of computers but referred queries to the Copperbelt provincial education officer Paul Ngoma.
“Yes, some thieves stole some computers here in Kitwe but the Copperbelt provincial education officer is handling the matter,” Mr Mwale said.

  1. Invest in automatic burglar warning security systems. Do guards even have communication means of alerting the police and heads of schools when such robberies are in progress? Think. Unless you are as well part of the thieving groups.
