World Vision Zambia (WVZ) Chama Area Development Programme (ADP) of Kawambwa district in Luapula Province is phasing out its operations.

This has been confirmed by WVZ, Chama Area Development Programme (ADP), Manager, Anderson Maambo in a letter to all its partners in
Kawambwa also made available to the ZANIS.

Mr Maambo said the WVZ Limited has been operating in Kawambwa district through Chama ADP since 2000 and is now phasing out its operations at
the end of September.

Mr Maambo said the partners’ inputs to WVZ materially, psychosocial, technical and spiritual have enhanced the organisation to achieve its goals by bettering the lives of people in Chama’s chiefdom.

The outgoing WVZ Manager added that now more than 80 percent of the households in Chama area are able to have three meals a day, have improved health services and improved water supply.

Mr Maambo noted that children in the area have access to improved education services while the villagers have economically been empowered and have known God as their provider.

He has thanked all partners for their valuable input towards the people of Kawambwa.

Meanwhile, Mr Maambo has said before phasing out at the end of September this year, there will be a community celebration dubbed ‘’Celebrating 15 years of community service’’.

He pointed out that the celebration will be held at Mushota Primary School on 20th August, 2015.
