The prestigious ‘Mr Ironman’ bodybuilding competition returns to the stage on Saturady in Lusaka after a two-year absence.

About 60 bodybuilders will flex their muscles for a place in the finals during the prejudging stage, after which only 20 will be selected to compete in the finals.

Zambia Body Building and Fitness Federation -ZBBF- Information and Publicity Secretary Moses Suwali says the prejudging will take place in the morning, before the main event in the evening

Suwali says ten body builders will compete for the senior category while another 10 will compete in the junior category.

He said the Minister of Youth and Sport Vincent Mwale will grace the occasion.

The winner will walk away with ten thousand kwacha, with the best four musclemen going to represent the country at the International Federation of Body Building Africa Boksburg Classic Championship slated for August 6 in South Africa.

Defending champion and three-time ‘Mr Zambia’ champion, Syvester Mwila will also compete in the 140-thousand-kwacha-rich ‘Mr Ironman.’
