A HOUSEWIFE of Lusaka’s Garden Township has narrated in the Matero local court how her husband returns home with a shaven pubic area.
Brenda Masoka, 42, also complained to Senior Court Magistrates Petronella Kalyelye and Lewis Mumba that her husband has been denying her conjugal rights.
This was heard in a case in which Masoka sued her husband’s suspected lover Beauty Siasamba, 47, of Marapodi Township for compensation for defamation of character.
“When I got married, everything was fine between my husband and me until he started coming home with his private parts shaved. Then he later stopped making love to me. That is when I began suspecting,” she said.
Masoka told the court that one day she found Siasamba and her husband (Masoka) coming out of a bar. She said she confronted the two but the unapologetic Siasamba started insulting her and told her to leave her boyfriend alone.
“I later caught Siasamba with my husband in her house and she even admitted having shaved his private parts. Problems in our marriage has worsened because of the relationship she is having with my husband,” he said.
In her statement, Siasamba confirmed to the court that she was having an affair with Masoka’s husband and admitted to shaving his pubic hair. She, however, denied insulting Masoka.
She told the court that when Masoka’s husband proposed love to her in 2013, he told her that he was not married.
“He never told me he was married when he proposed love to me in 2013. I only found out about Masoka this year,” she said.
Passing judgment, the court ordered Siasamba to pay Masoka K2,500 as compensation for defamation of character.
