Actor Owas Ray Mwape Walks to Freedom, I am not bitter with Saboi, its life;

ONE of Zambia’s leading actors and movie directors Owas Ray Mwape this morning walked to freedom after serving part of his 6 months imprisonment.

And Mwape says his incarceration was a stepping stone to greater heights as it had opened up another world unknown to him.

In an exclusive telephone interview to Mwebantu New Media this morning moments after he stepped out behind bars, Mwape says he held no grudge against his Ex-wife, celebrated music songstress Saboi Imboela over his predicament.

He noted that he had taken his experience in prison with a positive outlook. Asked on what he would do now that he was a free man, Mwape said Zambian’s should expect more movies from his team about his time in a Zambian prison.

“Among the things I intend to do is become an advocate and ambassador for our brothers and sisters serving time and also highlight their challenges” Mwape who seemed in high spirits said.

His ex-wife reportedly never set foot to see him during his incarceration. The two had a well publicized rocky marriage that resulted in an acrimonious divorce.
