The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested a 30-year-old man of Kalulushi district for allegedly engaging in corrupt practices involving K1, 300.

ACC Public Relations Manager Timothy Moono named the suspect as Thomas Nzunda of house number G3, Kalengwa Musenge Site and Service in Kalulushi in the Copperbelt province.

Mr. Moono said Nzunda was arrested for one count of corrupt practices by a private person, which is contrary to section 20(1) of the anti-corruption Act number 3 of 2012.

He told ZANIS in a statement in Lusaka today that Nzunda allegedly solicited for K1, 300 in a corrupt manner from Lloyd Muvumbu for the former to facilitate employment of the latter as an operator at JCHX mining company in Chambeshi.

He said Nzunda actually received K300 from Muvumbu to execute the deal.
Mr. Moono said Nzunda has since been released on bond adding that he will appear in court soon.-Zanis
