President Edgar Lungu has left Lusaka for Mbala district to drum up support for the Patriotic Front (PF) candidate in the forthcoming Senga Hill parliamentary by-election slated for April 14, 2015.

Mr. Lungu is accompanied for his campaign trail by his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda and Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education, Michael Kaingu.

The President was seen off at City Airport by Vice President Inonge Wina, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Given Lubinda, Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Joseph Katema,
Justice Minister Ngosa Simbyakula and Deputy Secretary to Cabinet Peter Kasanda.

Others who saw off the Head of State include service chiefs, deputy ministers and some senior party official.

The Senga Hill seat fell vacant after the Supreme Court nullified the election of MMD Member of Parliament, Kapembwa Simbao

The ruling Patriotic Front has since adopted Mr. Simbao as its candidate for the Senga Hill parliamentary by-election.
