A MAN has committed suicide at a graveyard in Chipata.
Police, who rushed to the scene after a tip-off from members of the public, found the unidentified man hanging from a tree on Friday last week.
Eastern Province deputy commissioner of police Patrick Bili told journalists in Chipata that the body of the deceased was in a decomposed state when it was discovered and his identity has not yet been established.
He said the body of the deceased was buried in a marked grave at the same graveyard where the suicide took place.
Mr Bili police took photos of the body before burying it so that those missing a male person could go to Chipata Central police station for verification.
