Muchinga DPS calls on youths to follow Biblical teachings

—-Muchinga Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Davy Chanda, has called on youths in the district to follow Biblical teachings if they are to overcome some challenges they face as youths.


Mr Chanda said this yesterday in Nakonde during the Boys’ Brigade Enrolment and Rededication service that was held at the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Nakonde Central Congregation.


The DPS said the Patriotic Front (PF) government strongly believes in the Church and will remain a strong partner in championing the challenges that Zambia goes through as a nation.


Mr Chanda urged the young people to abide by the Biblical teachings which will help them make a difference in society.


The Deputy Permanent Secretary also thanked the Boys’ Brigade for their exemplary contribution to the community especially during government functions where the brigade band always add colour.


Meanwhile, Nakonde UCZ Central congregation Reverend in charge, Festus Chulu, in his homily called on youths to make a difference in society.


Rev Chulu called on the newly enrolled Boys’ Brigade to emulate Jesus Christ when he was a young boy.


Rev Chulu also thanked the government for the support that it always gives to the Boys’ Brigade band.


The Reverend said the boys’ band equipment that the boys were currently using was bought by government through the youth development fund.
