Lungu terminates three permanent secretary contracts

PRESIDENT Lungu has made changes to Government at permanent secretary level.
The changes include the termination of contracts for permanent secretary for the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development Charity Mwansa, permanent secretary for the Ministry of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection In’utu Suba and Lusaka Province permanent secretary Wamunyima Muwana.
President Lungu has appointed Lusaka Province deputy permanent secretary Bright Nundwe as permanent secretary for Muchinga Province.
This is according to a statement released in Lusaka yesterday by special assistant to the President for press and public relations Amos Chanda.

The President has also transferred Eastern Province permanent secretary Dr Chileshe Mulenga to the Ministry of Home Affairs in the same capacity taking over from Brigadier General Emeldah Chola, who moves to the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development as permanent secretary responsible for energy.
“President Lungu has also transferred Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services permanent secretary Chanda Kasolo to Eastern Province in the same capacity,” Mr Chanda said.
The Head of State has also directed Mumbwa district commissioner Sunday Shamabanse to vacate office immediately following the expiry of his contract on January 17, 2015.
He said the Secretary to the Cabinet has since been informed of this decision.
