Stanbic Bank donates K30, 000 towards Nc’wala

——-Stanbic Bank has contributed a K30, 000 cheque towards hosting of this year’s Nc’wala traditional Ceremony.

 

Board Chairperson Mary Ncube said Stanbic bank recognizes the importance of preserving the country’s cultural heritage.

 

Ms. Ncube further pledged the Bank’s support towards hosting of the four major traditional ceremonies in the country.

 

Speaking when she officially handed over the cheque, Ms. Ncube noted that cultural ceremonies are one way of highlighting the richness and diversity of the country’s culture.

 

She stated that traditions have a strong basis that reconnects people to their roots.

 

Ms. Ncube has since commended the Nc’wala  Organizing Committee for its commitment towards hosting one of the key traditional ceremonies in the country.

 

And Nc’wala Traditional ceremony Organising Committee, Chairperson Noel Nkhoma thanked Stanbic Bank for its support towards hosting of the ceremony.

 

Mr. Nkhoma said about K400, 000 has so far been raised for the ceremony with support from different stakeholders.

 

He disclosed that 50 Chiefs from both Zambia and Malawi are expected to attend the Nc’wala ceremony which will be held on February 28, this month.
