Acting president Guy Scott says he will only make a proper judgment on the January 20th presidential election after the winner has been declared.
Dr. Scott says he is waiting for the the election to come to an end.

Asked whether he is proud that he has carried out a smooth power transition as acting republican President, Dr. Scott has told Qfm News that so far he perceives things to be good.
He has however noted that the aftermath of the presidential election results will still have to be considered in deducing whether the power transition has been smooth or not.
Dr. Scott says this is will also include how peaceful political parties that have contested the election will be.
He says these factors will have to be considered before the power transition can be considered smooth and over.
And Dr. Scott has maintained that he cannot predict how his political future will be in ruling Patriotic Front not until after the presidential election.

  1. in the circumstances ,Dr Scott did a great job.It was not easy .He has been like a father. We tend to focus more on pitfalls than successes. On balance,he performed .People wil never forget that in 2001 long before PF became popular, this is the man who walked side by side with the late PF Patriach explaining the ideals of PF.He has a great place and he should be honored,it has not been easy on the emotional side for him to lose a great friend in this difficult world were materialism is cardinal.

  2. IN DEFENCE OF HON EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU-THE ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA
I write this in my capacity as a concerned citizen of the republic of Zambia. My views have nothing to do with any political or religious affiliation but as a believer in Christ. Whilst I understand all the dissatisfaction from many quarters over the election of Hon Edgar Chagwa Lungu as the president of the Republic of Zambia, I wish to remind all the citizens of this nation that they must not forget the path ahead of this presidential bye elections that the elected president went through. If it was not for God, there was no way he could have ascended to the throne.
*HIS OWN PARTY MADE THINGS DIFFICULTY FOR HIM!
*JUST THINK OF TIME WASTED WITH CONFERENCE CONFLICTS, COURT CASES.
*CONSIDER THAT HE DID NOT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCES TO CARRY OUT AN EFFECTIVE CAMPAIGN.
*HE ONLY HAD LIMITED TIME TO CAMPAIGN AS HE STILL HAD TO DO HIS DUTIES AS MINISTER WITH TWO PORTFOLIOS.
*HIS OWN ACTING PART PRESIDENT DID NOT GIVE HIM ALL THE SUPPORT HE NEEDED TILL WHEN IT WAS TOO LATE.
*THINK OF HOW HE HAD TO ENDURE OPEN REJECTION FROM HIS COLLEAGUES WHO DISTANCED THEMSELVES FROM HIM.
*THINK OF THE INSULTS HE SUFFERED IN THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO HATED HIM.
*IN ALL THESE HE REMAINED HUMBLE AND RE-CONCILIATORY.
*LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST-HE NEVER DREAMT THAT ONE DAY HE COULD BE PRESIDENT BUT GOD HAS MADE HIM ONE.
Surely God has seen all what he went through and decided to reward him with the throne. Let us give him all the support that he needs not as a PF president but as a republican president. May God guide him and give him wisdom.
