Shantanda polling station experiences high voter turnout in Bwacha Constituency

Voting at Shantanda Tavern Polling Station in Moomba Ward, Bwacha Constituency is going on well as hundreds of residents from Makululu Compoud turned out to cast their vote.

Presiding Officer Gift Mweemba officially opened the polling station at 06:00hrs and the voters began to cast their votes, immediately.

Groups of people from all walks of life turned up to cast their votes for their preferred candidate in the Presidential by-election that will determine Zambia’s next and 6th president.

Shantanda Polling Station has 653 registered voters.

Observers, Monitors and other polling agents from the civil society are keeping a close eye on the electoral process at the polling station.

The weather is favourable as there are no rains.
