The ruling Patriotic Front have cancelled its rally which was scheduled to take place today at the Freedom square in Kalabo District.

Kalabo PF Campaign Coordinator   Richard Mwapela who confirmed the development to ZANIS today.

Mr. Mwelwa explained that Mr Lungu who was expected to address a sizeable crowd today could not make it to Kalabo because traditional leaders in Southern Province sought audience with him.

Mr Mwapela who is also former Western Province minister  however  expressed his confidence that the ruling party would still carry the day in Kalabo district as the local people were interested in continuity..

He explained that most voters still had confidence in PF and come January 20th the Party would emerge victorious adding that the Party at grass root was intact and solid a symbol that things were going on smoothly.

Mr Mwapela further said the PF government had brought a lot of unprecedented development in the District which every resident should appreciate.

He cited the construction of Mongu –Kalabo road, Trades School, News Prison and Social Cash Transfers for vulnerable people as some of the good things that   the PF government brought into the District which were never there.

The former minister appealed to the electorate to vote for the PF candidate for continuity in development.

  1. Why cancel rallies in areas where PF is not even popular instead of consolidating votes, but opt for copperbelt where Pf is already popular.I think Lungu’s compaign manager is wrongly advising him.Don’t chase after Upnd, follow your own Program
