PF President Edgar Lungu says he will not be black mailed by people pushing him to sign a social contract.

Mr Lungu says he has not refused to give Zambians a people-driven constitution.

The PF President was speaking at a rally in Solwezi to woo voters in the run-up to the January 20, 2015 Presidential election.

He says although the constitution is very important document it will not take priority over the basic needs of the majority poor if he is elected President on Tuesday next week.

Mr. Lungu says he has learnt with sadness after a nation wide campaign trail that many Zambians are suffering due to lack of basic needs.

Meanwhile Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary-General Mr. Davies Chama has accused the opposition of creating a fraudulent bogus e-mail account in the name of party president, Edgar Lungu.

Mr CHAMA says the people who have created the bogus email Edgar Lungu [email protected] are using it to attribute falsehoods to Mr Lungu.

He says this in a statement with issued by the PF media and Publicity Team.

Mr Chama says the people behind the email have issued a statement purporting to explain Mr Lungu’s absence from a television debate that took place at Mulungushi International Conference Centre yesterday.

Mr Chama says Mr. Lungu has not issued any statement to that effect and that he does not maintain any such email.

He says the matter will be reported to the police for investigation.

Mr Chama says Mr Lungu is currently in North-Western Province campaigning to reach as many voters as possible.

And former President Rupiah Banda says PF candidate Edgar Lungu’s chances of winning next week’s presidential election are good.

Mr. Banda says from the places he has been Mr. Lungu stands a good chance of winning Tuesday’s election.

He was speaking to journalists at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport shortly after he arrived from Solwezi.

Mr. Banda says he is happy with the candidate he is supporting.

He also says it is wrong for Southern Province Minister Daniel Munkombwe to encourage tribal politics in the country.HH Livingstone 2

Mr. Banda says Zambia can not go forward if citizens are tribal.

The former President said logically it does not make sense to say that the presidency should rotate.

He questioned the essence of holding elections if people think the presidency should rotate.

Meanwhile Mongu Central MP Nathaniel Mubukwanu has urged people to vote for PF President Edgar Lungu on Tuesday next week.

Mr Mubukwanu says the PF president is the only candidate who can finish late president Michael Sata’s developmental projects.

He has also urged Zambians not to be involved in any form of political violence as the country goes to the polls next week Tuesday.

Mr. Mubukwanu says Zambians should help the Electoral Commission of Zambia to conduct a peaceful election by Not engaging in any violence.

He says he is happy that there is no more political violence in Mongu and that all political parties are campaigning in peace.

The Mongu central law maker was speaking to ZNBC News in interview.
