Driver dies on sport in a road accident

Luampa, December 23, ZANIS——————A Mini Bus driver has died, while
two passengers sustained minor injuries when the bus they were
travelling in lost control and overturned at Lukulu junction along Mongu
road in Luampa District.

The driver only identified as Steve Kahembe died on the sport while
two passengers Chetenge Muneko and Elias Chinjambi sustained minor
injuries.

The accident happened around 15:00 hours yesterday.

 

Kaoma District Hospital confirmed the death of Mr Kahembe.

In an interview with ZANIS one of the casualties Elias Chitenje said
the driver was drunk and over speeding as he was rushing to pick some
passengers who he had left at Kaoma bus station.

"We told him to reduce the speed but he said he knew what he was
doing," Chitenje said.
