UPND accuses PF cadres of removing campaign materials

Lusaka,December,12,2014,ZANIS— The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has accused the Patriotic Front (PF) cadres of pulling down its election campaign posters in Western Province.

UPND Western province presidential advisor Namatama Mupo says his party is concerned at the continued removal of Campaign materials allegedly by the ruling PF cadres.

Mrs. Mupo said after failing to amass popularity in Mongu, the PF had resorted to putting down UPND posters.

ZANIS reports that this is according to a statement made available in Lusaka today by UPND Western province media campaign team.

Efforts to get PF secretary general  Davies Chama failed by broadcast time as his mobile number was unreachable by broadcast time for comment on the matter

She explained that a named PF cadre was on the run after he was spotted putting down UPND electoral posters in Mongu by the UPND cadres.

She warned the cadres to desist from such behaviours and not to take the peaceful way her party was conducting its campaign for granted.

Meanwhile, UPND vice provincial chairman Moto Moto has cautioned civil servants in the province  from engaging in partisan politics during the on-going presidential campaigns.

And the UPND western province media campaign team has revealed that PF Lui ward members and councillor Lumai Musamba have defected to UPND citing the alleged inside fighting and lack of peace in the ruling party.
