Vice President Guy Scott will continue acting President while the proceeding of the matter in which the transfer of power following the death of President Michael Sata has been challenged continues to be heard in court.
This follows the High Court’s decision not to issue an adverse order against Dr. Scott this afternoon when the matter came up for an inter-partes hearing in chambers before Judge Gertrude Chawatama.
Speaking shortly after the inter-partes hearing Attorney General Musa Mwenye who is representing the State has told Journalists that the Court has however issued a directive that both partes advise their clients not to make any statements that are prejudicial to the matter.
Mr. Mwenye who was in the company of Anthony Kasolo the lawyer representing Dr. Scott, states that this is because the matter is now in court and that it is now subjugate.
He says this means that no one is allowed to make a comment on the matter.
