The ruling party has also praised  Kawambwa residents for support, the out pouring of sorrow, as well as the high levels of unity that had been exhibited.

ZANIS reports that Mr. Kalumba said this in an interview after watching the burial proceedings of President Sata on ZNBC Television at the Kawambwa District Council Chamber yesterday.

He said the unity and support exhibited by PF members, Civil Servants, the Clergy, and the general public is testimony of how popular Mr. Sata was.

Mr. Kalumba said the popularity enjoyed by the Late President was a result of his hard work and his desire to uplift the living standards of all Zambian, especially the poor in society.

He said there is need for individuals aspiring to take up the mantle of taking over the Leadership of the Party and that of the Country to carry out self introspection.
