PF in Luapula appeals for calm this mourning period


Mansa,   October 31, 2014,   ZANIS ——— The Patriotic Front in Luapula Province has appealed to  the general membership to remain calm as they mourn
Republican President Michael Sata.

 


Luapula Province PF Chairperson Mary Nkandu has warned that the province will not take kind any member of the party issuing unnecessary statement.

 


Ms Nkandu says there is need to mourn the Republican President with the dignity he deserves.

 

She says that that issuing of unnecessary statement and soliciting of funds from the public will not be condoned.

 


ZANIS reports that the Provincial Chairperson said this in a statement signed by other PF officials from both the province and Mansa Central and Bahati constituencies.

 


Ms Nkandu says Luapula Province has a leader who had agenda to develop the province and that his demise is a great loss to the province.

 


She cited among other developments the Chipili Luwingu road under the link Zambia 8000 and Luapula University as some of the projects that would change the face of Luapula province.

 

The late fifth Republican president  died on Tuesday night in London, United Kingdom.


And in related development, the Freedom fighters in Mansa District as a great loss to the country and freedom fighters in Luapula Province.

 


Freedom Fighters Association Chairperson Syprian Mulonda says the freedom fighters in Luapula province will remember President Sata for being the only President who remembered and honored freedom
fighters in Luapula Province.

 


Mr. Mulonda has since called on all Zambians to put aside their interests and mourn the President in harmony.
