Muchinga PS counsels teachers

Mpika, October 03, 2014, ZANIS… Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary Bwalya Ng’andu has encouraged teachers in the area to soldier on in ensuring that pupils graduate at econdary school level with higher grades .

Dr Ng’andu was speaking through the Provincial Education Officer Jobbicks Kalumba at the first ever graduation ceremony for Mpika boys grade twelve pupils for this year held at the school ground yesterday.

Dr Ng’andu paid tribute to the school head teacher Allan Kaoma, Mpika DEBS Christopher Sinkamba who is a  former pupil of Mpika boys for their unity towards transforming the school from what it was known to be a military camp to an admirable learning institution.

Th PS has however, called on other people who passed through schools that are in Muchinga Province to plow back through material or financial support adding that some people are serving in higher portfolios who should be proud of the schools they when to.

Dr Ng’andu said education has the potential to turn the course of economic development through long term investment of sacrificing at school.

He also reminded the grandaunts to apply the lets lead Zambia technique during the remaining days of preparing for their examination which will be starting next week Monday.

And a teacher at the school Aaron Mwanza explained that Mpika boys was commissioned by Dr Kenneth Kaunda in 1970 .

The school has been recoding remarkable examination results for both grade twelve and nine adding where last year it came second to Lwitikila girls .

And pupils have pledged not to go back to mischievous behavior and have promised the Government and the public that their vision is to rank the best Government boarding school in the country with good conduct in academic performance come 2015 grade 12 results.
