Govt. implores civil servants to adhere to the code of ethics

Solwezi, September 30, 2014, ZANIS—North-western Province Permanent Secretary, Amos Malupenga has implored government workers to adhere to the code of ethics and the terms and conditions of service for the public service.

 Mr Malupenga said if government workers apply the contents of the two documents work would be more fulfilling and easy.

The permanent secretary said this when he addressed provincial heads of government departments during a one day sensitization meeting organized by the Public Service Management Division (PSMD) on the code of ethics.

 He said heads of government departments need to understand the contents of the code of ethics and terms and conditions of service of the public service because they are the ones to effect and implement them during their execution of duties.

 

Mr Malupenga advised civil servants against making decisions out of emotions but follow procedures contained in the documents governing the operations of public service workers.
