Government has assured inmates across the country that all suspected illegal immigrants intercepted at border entries are thoroughly screened for the deadly Ebola Virus before being taken to the holding cells.
Speaking in an interview with QFM News, Home Affairs Deputy Minister Steven Kampyongo says his ministry is working with the Ministry of Health in ensuring that all people entering the country are thoroughly screened.
Mr. Kampyongo says government is ensuring that all people including inmates are protected from the Ebola virus.
He says officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs are collaborating well with officers from the Ministry of Health and that inmates should not worry about Ebola.
And Mr Kampyongo says there is reasonable manpower to man all the border entries in the country to prevent the influx of illegal immigrants into the country.
