—Mbala District Commissioner, Best Kabulembe, has issued a strong warning to civil servants holding dark corner meetings to position themselves for political positions.

Mr Kabulembe said he was aware that there were some civil servants who are meeting at a named lodge in the district to start planning for their political campaign strategies.

He said this during the District Development Co-ordinating Committee (DDCC) meeting at Grasshopper Inn over the weekend.

Mr Kabulembe warned that public workers holding secret political meetings risk losing employment because it is a violation of the provisions of the code of ethics for the public service workers.

The District Commissioner has advised civil servants aspiring for political offices to resign before the long arm of the law caught up with them.
