Government is working towards setting up Ebola isolation centres in communities as part of the measures to contain any outbreak of the deadly disease which has claimed over one thousands lives in West Africa.
Health Minister Joseph Kasonde has told QFM News that government attaches great importance to protecting the lives of citizens in view of the outbreak of Ebola.

Dr. Kasonde says people should also take it upon themselves by taking the necessary measures such as avoid handshakes and unnecessary travels to countries hit by Ebola.

He states that so far, government has done its home work on the ground by ensuring that medical personnel at all boarder areas are alert by screening all travelers.

Dr. Kasonde adds that government has set aside a total amount of K106 million in case of any Ebola outbreak.
