Pedestrian battles for life in Mongu after being hit by speeding vehicle


Mongu , August 16th, 2014,   ZANIS —-  A 28 year old man of Ushaa area of Chilanda village in chief Iwake of Limulunga District in Western Province is battling for his life after being hit by a Suzuki vehicle registration number ALR 7201 along Mongu –Lusaka road.

 

The accident happened yesterday morning around 10:00 hours when a driver who was driving a Suzuki registration number ALR 72O1 hit Muzala Kakoma near Kambule High School and sustained a serious injuries.

 


ZANIS reports that Western Province Commissioner of Police Lombe Kamukoshi confirmed the incident in an interview in Mongu yesterday.

 

Mr. Kamukoshi named and identified the driver as Like Namukolo a Government employee who while driving a UCZ vehicle hit a male Pedestrian identified as Muzala Kakoma aged 28 years old.


Currently the victim is nursing serious wounds and is admitted at Lewanika General Hospital.
