Macha, Aug 16th, 2014, ZANIS ——-  Chief Macha of the Tonga speaking people has called on other traditional leaders to lead by example in their respective areas.

ZANIS reports that the Traditional ruler said this in Macha yesterday when he received visitors from Kalulushi Municipal Council into his area over sanitation.

“As a leader you need to show the way, but some leaders don’t want to work with their subjects,” he observed.

He stated that any leader should know what he can do for his subjects and should be willing to work with them in order to improve their
lives.

He said things have changed and that in order for poverty to be reduced in rural areas chiefs should be able to come up with viable
programs in which to engage the people.

He cited his piggery farm as an example and that he has employed a some people who are able to look after their families.

He showed the visiting councilors and Kalulushi Municipal council workers his piggery and extended office block his putting up at his
place and cattle area saying he intends to employ more people as a result of engaging in business ventures.
