Darts Association of Zambia (DAZ) says it certain  that Zambia will medals at this year’s Zone Six Darts Championship slated for August 25-30 in South Africa.

DAZ president William Njovu says the thirty member team scheduled to be in camp next week has been performing beyond expectations in the on-going league games.

Njovu says the selected team was picked during trials conducted in May this year in Kabwe.

He told ZANIS sports in a telephone interview that he was certain the team will play competitively for honors in the junior, senior and veteran categories at the South Africa games.

The DAZ president  said Zambia faces no major challenge at this year’s event as the local team has adequately prepared for the tournament.

Last year, Zambia came out third in the Zone Six Darts Championship which were held in Malawi while South Africa emerged victorious.

About 10 countries that includes South Africa the host, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Angola will be taking part in this challenge.
