Govt. commends ZNS for maintaining peace in Kaputa District

 


Mbala, Luangwa, June, 19, 2014, ZANIS —   Government has commended Zambia National Service (ZNS) soldiers for bringing peace in Kaputa District.

 

And ZNS Commandant, Lieutenant General Nathan Mulenga explained that he has come to the district to visits his soldiers and interact with them.

 


Acting Kaputa District Commissioner (DC) Peter Musumali says his district highly cherishes the presence of the ZNS officers deployed to maintain peace in the area.


He said Kaputa is now a peaceful area owing to the handwork and commitment of the army officers who are deployed in various parts of the district to maintain peace.

The Acting Kaputa District Commissioner said this when Zambia National Service (ZNS) Commandant Lieutenant General Nathan Mulenga called on him at his office in Kaputa  District yesterday.


He said Kaputa residents are enjoying peace and are confident of the adequate protection from the men in uniform.


He has meanwhile appealed to the commandant to continue sending more army officers in the district to man the area.


And ZNS Commandant, Lieutenant General Nathan Mulenga explained that he has come to the district to visits his soldiers and interact with them.


Lt. Gen. Mulenga added that he has also come to the area to learn about the operation and challenges his officers were facing.


ZNS has deployed officers in some parts of the district which borders the Democratic Republic of Congo to safeguard the area from attacks.
