Buildcon limited stops sponsoring rugby

-Buildcon Investments Limited says it will not continue sponsoring the Zambia Rugby Union League following the expiry of the two-year sponsorship agreement.

 

Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU) Media and Communications Manager, Brenda Katongola, has disclosed the development to ZANIS Sports in Lusaka today.

 

Katongola said Buildcon Management has indicated that they are unable to renew the sponsorship agreement due to operational constraints.

 

She said the sponsorship of the Rugby League by Buildcon was historic as it was the first time that the Rugby League was being sponsored by a company.

 

And Katongola has appealed to the corporate world to come on board and sponsor the Rugby League.

 

The ZRU entered the initial two-year sponsorship deal with Buidcon Limited for the 2012 and 2013 rugby seasons which ended at the close of the 2013 season.
