Police in Kasama have launched a man-hunt for a student at Kasama College of Education suspected to have forged bank deposit slips.

Northern Province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed the development and named the student as Gilbert Musukuma.

Mrs Katanga stated that Musukuma is reported to have altered bank deposit slips for four students at the college purporting that they had made part payment for their tuition fees when infact not.

She however revealed some persons have since been arrested to a help police with investigations.

And Mrs Katanga has urged institutions of learning to take keen interest in counter checking with their respective banks in order to ensure that the deposit slips from students are authentic.
