Government has accused the media of fueling messages that are promoting anarchy in the country.

And government says it is aware of few individuals from some sections of society that want to ascend to power overnight using the media to create anarchy in the country.

Speaking when officiating at the international museum day today, Chiefs and traditional affairs minister Professor Nkandu Luo has accused people criticizing government as being jealous and over complaining.

Professor Luo, who refused to read her written speech, also advised jealous people who want to ascend to power to spend time in museums to read and learn what the founding president Dr Kenneth Kaunda did for the country and not criticize the government.

Meanwhile Professor Luo, who is also Munali Patriotic Front Member of Parliament, says government is saddened with the media the messages they sending to the world which portrays as if the country is fire.

She says the media has also forgotten what the freedom fighters did for the country adding that the only time private radio stations call her ministry is when they want to publish negative messages about her constituency.
