Mwaanga congratulates ANC in South Africa’s general election

Veteran Politician, Vernon Mwaanga has congratulated the African National Congress party -ANC- for the commanding victory in South Africa’s general election.

Mr. Mwaanga has also congratulated the South Africans for holding what he termed as smooth and transparent elections.

He told ZNBC news in Lusaka today that the South African elections have shown the world that Africa is capable of conducting free and fair elections.

Mr. Mwaanga says most politicians especially in Zambia must learn from the South African elections that it is possible to conduct civil and polite politics and still win people’s votes.

He also urged youths to emulate the new entrant in South Africa’s politics, the Economic Freedom Fighters party led by JULIUS MALEMA that they too can positively participate in the development of democracy in Zambia.

Mr. Mwaanga who joined politics as a youth says young people in the country should refuse to be used as tools for political violence .

The African National Congress party -ANC- has scooped the elections with around 62 per cent votes beating the closest rivals the Democratic Alliance -DA- which polled around 22 percent and the EFF polling around SIX percent.
