Oasis Forum’s meeting stopped by police – UPND

Hearing that the Police in Kabwe stopped a meeting that was called by Oasis Forum to discuss the constitution, simply goes to show that Stella Libongani, the IG of Police is spineless and not worthy of that position. First the fact that these are the people that are supposed to enforce laws, and to glaringly show that they don’t understand what they are doing, is like asking a learner driver to do motor rallying.

Police are supposed to be professional, people that cannot be compromised. We are sick and tired of professionals that cannot take a stand. Then why call them professionals if they cannot account for their actions. If they do not have the spine to do their jobs, then let them choose other professions.

Secondly suppose the people from Oasis Forum had decided to refuse to call off the meeting, they would have been charged with what? Illegal assembly? In a church? Christian Nation? Clearly we are not anywhere near a functioning democracy because the police that should maintain law and order are in the fore front of breaking the law. They use words like “on instructions from higher offices”. Excuse us, higher offices! What high offices? This is simply rubbish. There is no higher office being talked about here. The police must just wake up and start implementing the law the way the law is designed to be implemented. When law and order breaks down, people will have no option but to maintain their own law and order. What does that spell? ANARCHY!

As before, we are right on the consequences of these actions by the police. Do not say we did not comment on this dangerous trend! And without even a single seed of doubt, we know that we are right on this one like many times before.
