Sixteen opposition Political Party Presidents have written a letter to President, Michael Sata requesting for a meeting over the constitution-making process.

The Opposition leaders want to discuss the release of the final draft constitution to all stakeholders and the road map leading to the adoption of the constitution.

This is according to the open letter copied to ZNBC news in Lusaka on Friday.

The opposition leaders proposed that President Sata chairs the meeting.

The 16 opposition leaders include New Generation Party President Humphrey Siulapwa, Alliance for Better Zambia president Father Frank Bwalya, UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema and MMD Nevers Mumba.

On several fora, President Sata has maintained that there is no constitutional crisis because Zambia has a functional constitution.
