Mwinilunga road accident death toll rises to four

The death toll in the road traffic accident involving a Jitotwe- passenger bus has risen to four.

 

The fourth accident victim died yesterday around 18 hours at Mwinilunga district hospital Deputy police commissioner Michael Nkaka has confirmed the development to ZANIS in Solwezi.

 

And Provincial medical officer Dr Simulyamana Choonga has described the condition of the 15 victims admitted in Solwezi general hospital and Mwinilunga district hospital as stable.

 

Three people died on the sport yesterday after the Jitotwe bus they were travelling  to Lusaka from Mwinilunga failed to negotiate a curve near the Kabompo River causing it to overturn several times.

 

Among the deceased is a boy and two females.

 

 There were 20 passengers on the bus who were travelling to Lusaka.
