Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has challenged his party’s Members of Parliament serving as Deputy Ministers in the Patriotic Front (PF) government to resign and pave way for the party to field in replacements in their respective constituencies.

Mr. Hichilema has observed that it is also unfortunate that his party’s Members of Parliament serving in the PF government have not by now realized that they are only serving the interests of ruling PF.

Mr. Hichilema has advised UPND Sinazongwe Member of Parliament Richwell Siamunene to come out from hiding in the courts and re-contest the Parliamentary seat if he thinks he can retain it on the PF ticket.

Mr. Hichilema says it is also important that Itezhi Tezhi Member of Parliament Greyford Monde-Monde and his Shang%u2019ombo counterpart Poniso Njeulu resign as they are delaying development in their respective constituencies where they are UPND Members of Parliament.

The UPND leader has further told Qfm news in an interview that he is also confident that if all UNPD Members of Parliament serving in the PF government resign and by-elections are held his party will be able to retain all Parliamentary seats.
