HON. MKHONDO DANWOOD LUNGU – DEPUTY SPEAKER OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

HON. MKHONDO DANWOOD LUNGU – DEPUTY SPEAKER OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY:
Hon. Lungu is MMD Member of Parliament for Lundazi Constituency and was elected Deputy Speaker in 2011 after serving as Chairperson of Committees of the whole House prior to that. He was born on 18th February 1943. He’s married and he’s father of MMD presidential spokesperson Muhabi Lungu.
Hon. Lungu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with double major in Political Science and Public Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations. He was first elected to parliament in 2001 under UNIP, and during the latter part of his second term he served as Home Affairs Minister.
