Two Juveniles appear in court for stealing two chickens.

The Mpongwe Magistrates court has adjourned a theft case involving two juveniles for allegedly stealing two chickens to February 18 2014.

This follows a report order issued to the Department of social welfare by the Zambia Police service to acquire a full background report of the juveniles and possibly locate their guardians.

Mpongwe District Social Welfare Officer Clifford Kasapo requested for more time to acquire full details of the duo’s background through a social welfare report and thereby make recommendations on what should follow in the matter.

It is alleged that Kennedy Chirwa and Spencer Chimbaya , between February , 3 and 4 2014, in Mpongwe district whilst acting together did steal two chickens valued at 60 kwacha belonging to Lucky Kabulankanshi.

The duo have since been remanded at Luanshya prison awaiting the social welfare report.
