The Confederation of African Netball has mandated Zambia to host the 2015 African Netball Championship, the Post of Zambia reported on Wednesday.
Netball Association of Zambia general secretary Pritchard Ngoma said the association will soon get busy to put all logistics in place in preparation for the games but indicated that the association was currently waiting for the African netball body to spell out logistics needed.
“We are hosting the Africa Cup next year, we are just waiting for the Confederation of African Netball to tell us what is needed so that we can sit with government on how we can put everything in place,” he was quoted as saying by the paper.
The official further said the association would start preparing the team for the championship so that it could win the event.
Zambia won a bronze at last year’ s African Nations Championship after losing to South Africa in the semi-final. South Africa went on to win the title after beating hosts Malawi.
