The opposition Republican Progressive Party (PPP) has advised opposition political parties in the country to distance themselves from former Defense Minister Geoffrey Mwamba’s investigations for alleged abuse of office offences.

PPP president James Lukuku said it does not auger well for the opposition to try and interfere into Mr. Mwamba’s cases which are before the investigate wings of government.

He Mr. Lukuku told ZANIS in a walk in interview in Lusaka today that opposition political parties should allow the due process of the law to take its course instead of carrying out activities that may jeopardise the process.

Mr. Lukuku said the country has laws in place that are aimed at protecting citizens.
