Western Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Mwangala  Liomba has implored the incoming Kalabo District Commissioner   Masela Chinyama  to  embrace every worker  if the district is to develop further.

And the DPS has said there was nothing peculiar about the DCs transfers.

Mr.  Liomba said Kalabo had been known to be a united district adding that the incoming DC should maintain cordial relationship with the workers in order to develop.

The DPS was speaking yesterday in Kalabo Council Chamber when he introduced the incoming DC to the Heads of Government Departments (HODs) and other organisations.

“There is nothing peculiar about the transfer of the DC, such things are normal in the civil service, I would like to ask everybody to give support to the new DC as it has been with the past DCs,” Mr. Liomba said.

He thanked the out-going DC Irene Mate for her dedication in executing her duties.

Mr. Liomba was happy that during Mrs Mate’s tenure, the district adequately and efficiently delivered to people’s expectation.

Mrs Mate said she enjoyed working with everybody and requested for prayers so that she could also diligently discharge her duties to the best of her knowledge.

The incoming DC pledged to do her best to development the district.

Kalabo DC has been transferred to save in the safe capacity in Mwinilunga district in North-Western Province on exchange basis with her counterpart.
