More than 20 Chinese companies from Jellin Province will next Month, visit Zambia to explore investment opportunities in agriculture, mining, tourism and the motor industries.

Lands Minister Harry Kalaba has told ZNBC News in a telephone interview from China that he has held a meeting with various companies at the office of the Jellin Director General for Commerce Hongsia Cong explaining the importance of investing in Zambia.

Mr. Kalaba says Zambia is now the best investment destination in Central Africa because of the peaceful political landscape.

He says President Michael Sata has made Zambia a safe haven for peace and stability.

The Cabinet Minister says Zambia has various fields in which Chinese companies can tap into.

And Jellin Director General for Commerce Hongsia Cong says she will lead a delegation of the 20 companies in March this year.

Ms Cong says Zambia has proved to the international community that it is stable.

She says her Country is convinced that both the Zambian people and the Government can protect Chinese investments, and adds that Zambians have a commendable work ethic.

Mr Kalaba is in China at the invitation from the Governor of Jellin Province to appreciate how that country which has a 1.5 billion population has utilised limited land for the benefit of all.
